Revelation

I had a revelation today. It was like a big light bulb literally flashed over my head and went "ding!" Here is it (drum roll please):

I always shoot the big picture. Instead of getting up close to the subject of my photo, I take images that include EVERYTHING in my shot. Anything that is around it gets included in the image. Which sometimes is a good thing... but when all your images are "big-picture" shots, it gets boring to look at after a while.

Therefore, my New Year's Resolution in Photo (2 weeks late) is to work on taking more detailed and close up shots of things. We'll see how that works out. Wish me luck! :)
